DOIs may be created using the following metadata schemata; click on a link to download the schema specification:
- Monographic Product - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for monographic products.
- Monographic Work - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for monographic "works", i.e. not actual "manifestations" or "products".
- Monograph Chapters - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for monograph chapters or parts (both as a "work" and as a "manifestation").
- Serial Article - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for serial articles (both as a "work" and as a "manifestation").
- Serial Issues - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for serial issues (both as a "work" and as a "manifestation").
- Learning Objects - specifies a set of elements that provide a format for metadata related to the registration of DOIs for Learning Objects.
- Onix Code Lists - the following links show the ONIX code lists required to support ONIX DOI subsets and too lengthy to list within the individual subset specifications.
